Fees
Please note from 1st January 2025 – Parkside Family Practice is adjusting the fee structure and increases will apply to all consultations.
Payment will be required in full on the day following consultation with the Doctor. Your Medicare rebate will be processed at the time of payment.
Parkside Family Practice is not a bulk-billing practice. Discounted fees are offered to Pensioners and Health Care Cardholders.
Parkside Family Practice require payment in full on the day. All phone consults are privately billed.
Fees for referred diagnostic and specialist services
Referrals to specialists, allied health professionals and diagnostic services may incur a gap payment and patients are advised to enquire at the time of booking if there will be any out-of-pocket costs.
Repeat Prescriptions and Referrals
Some of the doctors are happy to provide repeat prescriptions and/or referrals for regular patients. A private fee will apply. Please allow up to 48 hours for this request to be completed.
Some of the doctors will require an appointment for these requests, which will usually be a short telehealth consult.

Additional Fees
Parkside Family Practice prides itself on providing high quality care and as a result there may be additional charges such as:
- Treatment room fee for clinical procedures
- Wound care products and other consumable items
- Private vaccines
- Specific administrative requests
After Hours Care
The doctors of the Practice provide 24 hour emergency after-hours cover. Please telephone the Practice on 8271 3985 and you will be directed to the doctor on call. There is an increased fee (and Medicare Rebate) for emergency after-hour services.
On Saturdays between 12 noon and 11.00 pm, all day Sunday/Public Holidays and weekdays Monday and Friday between 7am – 8am and after 6pm – 11pm a fee of $302.30 will apply.
Emergency visits during unsociable hours between 11.00pm and 7.00am a fee of $386.93 will apply.
